292 - Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph (YEAR) - December 26, 2010
Dal Vangelo secondo Matteo (Mt 2,13-15.19-23)
I Magi erano appena partiti, quando un angelo del Signore apparve in sogno a Giuseppe e gli disse: «Àlzati, prendi con te il bambino e sua madre, fuggi in Egitto e resta là finché non ti avvertirò: Herod wants to try to kill the child. "
He stood up in the night, took the child and his mother and fled to Egypt, where he remained until Herod's death, because it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: "Out of Egypt have I called my son.
Herod died, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and said unto him, Arise, and take the child and his mother, and go 'in the land of Israel, because those who have died trying to kill the child.
He got up, took the child and his mother and entered the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus reigned in Judea in place di suo padre Erode, ebbe paura di andarvi.

The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him: "Rise, take the child and his mother and flee into Egypt, and remain there until I tell you, for Herod is trying to kill the child" .
God who is the Savior, acts in several ways.
once had saved another Joseph, also in Egypt, making escape with his brothers, had come out of prison and, finally, authority and power to help his brothers and the entire family of Jacob, his father. God really saved in different ways. This time save the Holy Family with the help of another "right": St. Joseph, moved to obey the words of his own faith in the divine plan, and in fulfilling the will of Heaven.

MERRY CHRISTMAS - NATIVITY OF THE LORD - December 25, 2010
From the Gospel according to Luke (Lk 2, 11-14)
In those days a decree from Caesar Augustus that a census should be of the whole earth. This was the first enrollment made when Quirinius was governor of Syria. All went to be census, each in their own city.
Even Joseph, the Galilee, the city of Nazareth, he went up to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he belonged to the house and family of David. Census was to be with Mary, his betrothed, who was pregnant.
While they were there, the time came for her to be delivered. She gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the apartment.
There were some shepherds in that region stay open, watched all night keeping guard over their flock. An angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them. They were terrified, but the angel said unto them, Fear not: behold, I announce with great joy, which shall be to all people: in the city of David, is born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. "
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying
"Glory to God in the highest heaven and on earth peace
to those whom he favors.

"Be not afraid, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people: to you is born in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord. This sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. " Only
contemplation can simplify our prayer to get to see the depth of the scene and the sign that we are given.
A manger, a child, in contemplation of Mary, Joseph thoughtfully: "Truly you are a God." The Father, who alone knows the Son, grant us to recognize that the love and imitate him.
No external apparatus, no consideration, in the village everything is indifferent. Only a few shepherds, outcasts from society ...
And all this is deliberate: "He chose poverty, nakedness.
He despised the light of men, the one that comes from wealth, splendor, social condition. " No equipment, no external splendor.
Yet he is the Word who became flesh, covered with a light body. He is in the world that he constantly creates, but it is hidden. Because it wants to appear only in secret?
He had hitherto, in the words of Nicolas Cabasilas, a king in exile, without a foreign city, and here he returns to his home. For the land, before being the land of men, is the land of God, returning, found this land created da lui e per lui.
(Pierre Mounier).
Ma credete e adorate.
