From the Gospel of Matthew (5.38 to 48)

You have heard that it was said: "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy." But I say unto you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that ye may be sons of your Father in heaven, he makes his sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. In fact, if you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even the publicans? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing than others? Do not even pagans? You, therefore, be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect. "

Jesus Christ, God with us and new humanity, teaches his disciples the commandment of love, the new law of the Gospel that always replaces the pagan legend of the old man: "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. "
Our spirit trembles at hearing the needs of this new commandment. Is not it easier to attack those who attack us and love who loves us?
