From the Gospel according to Matthew (Mt 5: 1-12a)
At that time, seeing the crowds, he went up the mountain: he sat down and came to him the his disciples. He began to speak and taught them, saying
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is
the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted
.
Blessed are the meek,
they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, they shall be satisfied
.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy
. Blessed are the

Beati gli operatori di pace,
perché saranno chiamati figli di Dio.
Beati i perseguitati per la giustizia,
perché di essi è il regno dei cieli.
Beati voi quando vi insulteranno, vi perseguiteranno e, mentendo, diranno ogni sorta di male contro di voi per causa mia. Rallegratevi ed esultate, perché grande è la vostra ricompensa nei cieli».

Beati i poveri davanti a Dio... Che messaggio! Lascia che Dio ti colmi! Egli ti ama malgrado la tua povertà, malgrado i tuoi limiti. Quando sei addolorato dall’effimero della felicità umana sempre minacciata, when you feel poor, when the affliction paralyzes you, listen to the great promise of God will be comforted, fed you, you will see God .. Perhaps then, many men could still count on God to build on this good earth, and give us what we hoped and expected throughout our lives: the security and joy. A joy that reigns.
