Word of God

RESPONSORIAL PSALM (Ps 145)
Chorus: Blessed are the poor in spirit.

The Lord remains faithful forever
does justice to the oppressed, gives food to the hungry
.
The Lord sets prisoners free.

The Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord raises up those who fell, the Lord
ama i giusti,

Ma quello che è stolto per il mondo, Dio lo ha scelto per confondere i sapienti; quello che è debole per il mondo, Dio lo ha scelto per confondere strong, what is low and despised in the world, that is nothing, God chose him to reduce to nothing things that are, because no one may boast before God
With him are ye in Christ Jesus, which became wisdom to us by God, and sanctification, and redemption, because, as it is written, who boasts, boast in the Lord.

Word of God Gospel Acclamation (Mt 5:12 a)
Alleluia, alleluia.
Rejoice and be glad,
because great is your reward in heaven.
Alleluia.

GOSPEL (Matthew 5.1-12a)
Blessed are the poor in spirit.

+ Gospel according to Matthew

At that time, seeing the crowds, he went up the mountain: he sat down and came to him and his disciples. He began to speak and taught them, saying
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is
the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted
.
Blessed are the meek,
they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, they shall be satisfied
.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy
.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of

God Blessed are the persecuted for justice,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for great is your reward in heaven. "

Word of the Lord's Prayer of the Faithful

The Beatitudes which Jesus proclaimed is a promise and a task that was entrusted to us. We pray to the Father, to guide us and sustain us so that we can translate those recommendations into attitudes to life. Please
saying: Lord hear us.

1. Why Christians will abandon the faith and trust with the following of Jesus, winning the temptation of selfishness and pride, please.
2. Because those who suffer can find consolation in the Lord and a sincere and fraternal support us, please.
3. Why does the Lord remove from the heart of the bullying arrogance and full of goodness and spirit of service, we pray.
4. Why do we feel called to be peacemakers and witnesses of the Gospel in various situations that constitute our daily lives, we pray.
5. For those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, so that they can be strong and generous in the test, please.

O Father, you know that we are not able to live the beatitudes so as Jesus had taught. But with your help we can commit ourselves, with generosity, we want to be like you. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Prayer bids
Welcome with goodness, O Lord, these gifts
that we, your holy people, we lay on the altar,
and turn them into a sacrament of salvation.
through Christ our Lord.

Communion Antiphon
Fa 'shine on your servant the light of your face,
and save me for your mercy.
Let me not be ashamed,
Lord, I cried. (Ps 31.17 to 18)

Or
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is
il regno dei cieli.
Beati i miti, perché erediteranno la terra. (Mt 5,3.5)

Commento
Beati i poveri davanti a Dio... Che messaggio! Lascia che Dio ti colmi! Egli ti ama malgrado la tua povertà, malgrado i tuoi limiti. Quando sei addolorato dall’effimero della felicità umana sempre minacciata, quando ti senti povero, quando l’afflizione ti paralizza, ascolta la grande promessa di Dio: sarete consolati, sarete fed, you will see God .. This promise is at the heart of our faith. All the good news of Jesus is reflected in the Beatitudes as a burning glass. One who has accepted the good news in the depths of himself and in which this truth reaches the roots of existence, of course, become a merciful and lenient in judging that on others. Will be able to spread peace, because he himself possess it.
If only we were able to live according to the basic attitude of the Beatitudes! If only we could love and trust as Jesus! Perhaps then many men who have made life bitter and closed, to which the many disappointments have lost faith in God and in men, perhaps they could also start to believe in the goodness of God and in his care, through human kindness and concern. Perhaps then, many men could still count on God to build on this good earth, and give us what we hoped and expected throughout our lives: the security and joy. A joy that reigns.
