On January 16, 2011 the current archpriest of the Basilica Cathedral, Don Felice Di Palma, Conversano Diocesan Archives has transferred the collection of books and manuscripts kept in the church of S. The fund, for the most part in poor storage conditions, is composed of units of books and manuscripts.
THE BOOK, covering a period of time ranging from five to the twentieth century, are mostly of the nature of liturgical and monastic hagiography, and includes a small devotional manuals, and miscellaneous.

Benedicti militanti bus, Venetiis 1719, 16°, pp. [32], 658, CXXXIII; coperta con piatti lignei rivestita di velluto color rosso veneziano con riza o copertura d’argento a sbalzo; i 4 motivi floreali su ogni piatto contornano uno scudo, sormontato da corona comitale: in quello anteriore è inciso s. Benedetto in his classic iconography (pastoral abbey and the Rule book on the left), in the back s. School with pastoral badessale and dove in the left, the central locking is a silver shield-shaped or heart, the original capital was added a mobile bookmarks with multicolored silk sheets front and rear guard are quite low-cut; cut text and two-tone gold (red and black) (attached).

Fondo manoscritto
Ancor più prezioso per contenuto, valore artistico e storico è il piccolo fondo manoscritto, totalmente cartaceo, ad eccezione di una pergamena settecentesca.
1. Il primo, e per bellezza e per antichità, è un ms. cartaceo miniato (42,2x28,5cm) di 10 ff. r-v (8r-10v non scritti), che deve ascriversi a un Rituale: più precisamente è un abrégé del rito De benedictione et consecratione virginum che si può riscontrare p. es. nel Pontificale Romanum (Romae 1645, pp. 159-190
ms., Where the scribe is unknown to us, free of chronic and due date from the late sixteenth and early seventeenth century, it opens as a full-page title with the coat color of the Acquaviva d'Aragona surmounted by the crown comitale; back through the outer door (ink and watercolor) depicts the Virgin and Child with two saints virgins enclosed in una cornice d’azzurro con 6 volute floreali di color verde e giallo ai 4 angoli e al centro(in allegato): sul capo una corona di 12 stelle, intorno è circondata da piccoli angeli alati e più in alto si libra la colomba, simbolo dello Spirito Santo, ai piedi un dragone artigliato con le fauci spalancate, reminiscenza dell’Apocalisse.
Il testo, che esprime accenti intensi d’amore dell’ancilla Christi*, è solo musicale, ed è tutto racchiuso nella stessa cornice dell’antiporta. Tutti i capilettera sono vergati in vignette quadre con fondo azzurro e lettere in oro. Il dittongo ae si alterna con la e cedigliata (ę).
Mediocre è lo stato di conservazione: tarli diffusi hanno aggredito la retrocoperta e ossidazioni del colore hanno creato parziali lacune e frammentazioni nella decorazione degli angoli inferiori destri a causa della frequente manipolazione.

Mel et lac ex eius / ore suscepi, et sanguis eius ornavit genas meas (ff. 7r-v).
Vi è allegato un codicetto ms. (40,5x29) che contiene solo il testo scritto precedente: anch’esso è racchiuso in a polychrome floral frame with Drop Caps in gold, now almost entirely lost, and shortly after the previous one.
2. Codex of June 7, 1626 (27.7 x21, 2) shows that the rite of monastic profession adjusted to ease the nuns from d. Peter Guidotto chaplain. The text is framed within a double frame two-tone (sepia, and red) and consists of 11 sheets rv (written up to 6v) with addenda mss. of 1651 and 1655 on ff. 10v-11r (which acts as a rear guard sheet). The light blanket is lined in red silk, worn in parts, with borders of embroidery in yellow and gold on which are sewn four flakes in the shape of the cross from which hang two ribbons of orange silk. The conservation status is less than mediocre.
3. On the same rite is penned another codex, attributed to the same century, but shortly after the previous one, with whom he shared the same characteristics as covered but a slightly smaller size (25.5 x19).
4. Sec. XVIII should be ascribed third codex with leather cover still on the ritual of monks.
5. Particularly beautiful is the binding of the codex (33x25) still on the same rite, dated 1857 and prepared by the SAC. A (ntonius) M (air) to C (Apone): the leather edges and engraved with scrolls contain some gold in the pot before the Easter lamb crouched on the book and enriched with polychrome quilt multicolored coral, and the back plate miter badessale crossed to X and from the pastoral cross.

16. Illuminated parchment of June 17, 1749 (55.5 x44), in which the apostolic visitor Military Scaja, Bishop of Oria, certifies and lists the relics of the above. There are three attergati: 26 June 1778, 1 September 1855 (signed by the bishop Mucedola) and July 7, 1872 (signed by the Bishop Gennaro).
