The significance of the three colors of our National Flag
Not everyone knows the story of our flag, and even the meaning of the three colors that compose it. The Italian flag was born in 1794, when two students of Bologna, Giovanni Battista De Rolandis and Luigi Zamboni attempted an uprising against the absolutist power that ruled the city for almost 200 years. The two took the cockade as a badge of the revolution in Paris, but in order not to monkey with France, they changed the blue with green. The allegorical meaning has remained the same: a Tricolour as the goal of a people who sought to have Justice, Equality, Fraternity. Three goals without which there can be no Dignity, Democracy, Prosperity.
Our Tricolore summarizes the natural Rights of Man, "the aspirations of all people, the will of those who believe in their own country once progress, with adequate legislation, undivided, equal duties and privileges thereof. A country where there is no discrimination, but everyone does' a consciousness of their work responsibilities. Where morality and ethics are a constant guide to a happy and peaceful.
