A statement by the program coordinator John Taurasi:

Ed: .. ooops ... the declaration of John Taurasi is this ..:

"We believe that the best way to commemorate the 150 years behind us is to turn to younger, because we live in a society and a world that is becoming more and more rapidly and in which the idea of national identity and of belonging to a community is likely to change in a changing demographic, social, cultural and economic. Faced with these changes in order to maintain social cohesion, every generation is called to redefine its identity (which is never a static element, but changing) and for that reason we started from schools and young people, or by the Italians of today and tomorrow. Aware of the strength of our past and present challenges, we turn with confidence towards the future and look at the history that stands before us. To find, to paraphrase a famous singer, a sense of this history, and why we believe that a sense of the story we have ... and also has a future. "
