But then I will declare to them: "I have never known. Get away from me, ye who work iniquity. "
then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew and beat upon that house, but it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
everyone who hears these words of mine and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man who built his house upon the sand. The rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it fell and great was its fall. "

In this Gospel we recognize two parts. The first tells us that Jesus will not make any distinction among men: it is not because we said, 'Lord, Lord, prophesied and performed miracles in his name that we will be recognized by him on that day, but only because we have done the will of Father, just like him. The Father's will is that we listen and believe him that he has sent, because only through faith in Jesus Christ we receive the righteousness of God, as suggested by the second reading. If we have faith, however, hear this response: "I have never known: depart from me, you evildoers. " In the second part
Jesus says that we can react in two different ways to his words. We must understand that this speech, together with that of the mountain, is a summary of his teaching, because justice, charity, prayer, lying in the arms of Providence are the golden rule of his teaching: "Do to others what you would do unto you "rule that John will send us this:" This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you. " We can put into practice the words of Jesus, and in this case, we build on the rock, leaning non sulle nostre forze o sulle nostre opere, ma su Cristo.
